The championship game of Euro2004 was today, between Greece and Portugal. Greece won, 1-0, and that's amazing. They'd never won an international match before this tournament, so good for them! My neighborhood is going nuts. Which is kind of strange, because I live in little Portugal, and they lost, but still everyone's driving around waving their Burgundy/Green/Gold flags like they had won. Good sportsmanship I suppose.

Played a cover gig this weekend, up in Sutton. I'm really proud of the guys, they held together well, didn't screw up, played a really good show, two nights in a row. For those of you that haven't performed, that can be pretty rough. You play three 45-50 minute sets, between 10:30 and 2am. Then we drove back to Toronto, because some people had to work(namely, me). Got to sleep at 5am, slept until 8am, and then work from 9:30-5:30. Then we went BACK to Sutton and played again. Factor in the drinking and jumping and singing and sweating and lugging gear, and it can take it's toll. Only I and the drummer had done this before, so I was a bit worried about the stamina of the other 3. But they pulled through marvelously!

Apart from that, it's raining now, and cooling off the city. I'm about to make my Potato Casserole(the recipe of which I will input below, but be warned, it's a heart attack in a cake pan, it's VERY decadent), and then maybe watch a movie, get an early night. Hope you are all doing well and good, and that fortune smiles on you more than it has on me lately. There has to be some positives coming my way, there just HAS to. I need a win.
