The Power of the Laminate...

Oh ho...

Nike's big mistake: Not putting security BEHIND the stage to make sure band members couldn't bring beers from the VIP section to the 'pay to drink' section. Or, their mistake was trusting us.

Consequently, I probably ran 10k myself today, shuttling free beer from the VIP tent to the other side. My criteria for you getting a free beer?

"Hey, did you finish the race?"
"Yes"
"Did you finish in less than an hour?"
"Yes"
"You get a beer. And here's a +nurse sticker. We're playing soon. And the website on the sticker should be live in a day or so."

Also, it helped if you were a cute girl. Cute girls look so much better in front of a stage, don't you think?

Result: We had the most people, and more importantly the most DRUNK people, cheering for us. Another result was the VIP section ran out of beer by 6pm, and booze altogether by 8pm. I did my part in drinking my share as well...

Fun fun FUN day. Must go sleep it off now...

You know, I wrote this when i was drunk, so I should say TrojanOne(the company that organized the show) were nothing but pro and awesome with all of us. I didn't mean to make this sound like we 'pulled one off' on them, because they were awesome to have us out in the first place. They did a hell of a job with a logistical nightmare!
