Why is it always the people that say:

"I'm strong because of my experiences.
I've been through a lot in my life.
My Pet/Friend/Family member died
I farted on the the Dalai Lama/Overdosed on X/Had to Bury a Body
I Rolled my parents Car/Set the Barn on Fire/Had my Feelings Hurt
And I'm much stronger for it.
These things make up who I am!
I Am So Strong!
I'm independant!
I shall overcome!!!"

...that are the most contradictory, damaged, smack talking, ignorant, weak, doomed-to-repeat-their-own-mistakes-for-eternity-because-they-believe-their-own-bullshit, cowards we know? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

because sometimes pretending is all you have.

True, but that doesn't mean I have to tolerate them anymore.

i can see what you're getting at
all experiences make us who we are, some people just tend to focus on the wrong experiences.
and yet at the same time
can i guess who this is aimed at?

I know who you're thinking of, and they certainly fit the bill. But they're not actually the impetus for this post. They'll probably THINK they are, but thats due to who they are, y'know?
