We're all adults here, right? Can we talk like adults?

In no way, or by any unit of measurement, is Katy Perry "good", or even "adequate". She is boring, derivative, not genuine, and generally all around sucks.

The fact that shes famous in the least, let alone people buying her albums and making her a star, is surely one of the signs of the apocalypse. At the very least, it's evidence of a culture in serious decline.

That is all.

I disagree! And three posts in a row about how something sucks? You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch!

I take umbrage with that. Its gotta be at least 7 posts, back to the "Lando for Emporer" post. What can I say, the end of the year gets me thinking, and I view the world with shit coloured glasses. ;)

PS: "Lando For Emporer" is so gonna be my next band name.

i just had this thought that... when you praise a kid too much for mediocre output (i don't mean verbal abuse or high expectations, and only when the kid is old enough to understand... like coddling into one's teen years, etc.) then they begin to think mediocrity is greatness. it's a vicious cycle. i just am thinking along the lines of... all are not created equal even though everyone rah-rah-rahs on about equality. everyone can't be good at everything yet it's taught by many that all you need to do is try and you can achieve anything... making sense? it's a theory in the making. ;)

"Man, I see in fight club the strongest and smartest men who've ever lived. I see all this potential, and I see squandering. God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off. "

I feel happy for finally being in the dark about an artist you are talking about. LOL

I have no clue who she is and now I have to fight the urge to find out, because really, why would I need to if she all around sucks. I'm not one to base my musical tastes on what others say but you and I have a lot in common and I agree with you almost always when it comes to music... so I'll steer clear!
